Presenter Biographies:
Sam Gardner, MS
JMP Systems Engineer Sam Gardner joined SAS as a JMP Systems Engineer in November 2008.
Previously, he worked for seven years with Eli Lilly and Company, first as a statistician in pharmaceutical manufacturing and manufacturing development, and later as a process chemist in antibiotic manufacturing. Earlier, Gardner served for 12 years as an active-duty US Air Force officer, with various roles in weapons systems modeling and simulation, operational flight testing, academics (as an instructor of statistics at the Air Force Institute of Technology) and in visual display systems research. He has been a JMP user and advocate since 1996.
Gardner lives with his wife and four children in Lafayette, IN, and enjoys board games (serious board games...not Monopoly!) and fishing for bass in the creek behind his home.
He holds a master's degree in mathematics from Creighton University and a master's degree in statistics from the University of Kentucky. Gardner graduated from Purdue University with bachelor's degrees in mathematics and chemistry.
Wendy Tseng
Wendy Tseng is currently a Project Manager on the Strategic Pricing team at Target, supporting Pricing-related business decision making with analytics. The team is responsible for driving profitability for all of Target's businesses through regular and promotional price optimization and clearance management, while maintaining Target's price perception.
Wendy has been a JMP user since 2006, where she used JMP in her role as a statistician at Procter & Gamble. She supported Hair Care Formulation R&D, using Design of Experiments, Regression Modeling and Optimization to help the formulators and process engineers develop new shampoo. Wendy's passion for statistics started in her first job out of college at the Duke Medical Center where she was mentored by a statistician to analyze experiments she was conducting to study a drug-eluting device to treat a disease of the retina. She received her undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and her M.S. in Management Science/Applied Statistics from the University of Miami.
Wendy Murphrey
Wendy Murphrey is a Technical Support Analyst in the Technical Support Division of SAS Institute, Inc.
A SAS(r) user since 2000, she researches and responds to customer questions and problems, writes sample JMP scripting, and performs other customer- and software-supporting tasks. Her primary areas of support include JMP(r) scripting, OLE automation using Visual Basic and C# .NET, ODBC, graphics, installation, and SAS/JMP integration. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rosemary Lucas
Rosemary Lucas is a Technical Support Analyst in the Technical Support Division of SAS Institute, Inc.
Providing customer support for JMP(r) software. In addition to helping customers with scripting problems, she also assists them with other issues, including installations, connections to databases, and questions about graphics, data table operations, and the formula editor. For JMP Genomics, she helps customers with installations, import engine issues, and general usage questions. A JMP user since 1999, Lucas received her Master's of Microbial Biotechnology from North Carolina State University.
