Position: SAS Technical Analyst
Reports to: Infrastructure Systems Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- HP-UX Unix server support and maintenance
- SAS v9.1.3 code review, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Automate and create production supportable SAS code with error handling and notification features for key business SAS processes
- Develop and maintain SAS code to create efficient ETL process from SQLServer source data
- Analyze, recommend and support optimal use of SAS vs. Microsoft Reporting Services vs. Microsoft Analysis Services or 3rd party products in regard to Business Intelligence
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation support with Technical Operations Systems Infrastructure Team
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Windows 2003 systems infrastructure server support and maintenance
- Implement UNIX to Windows interoperability utilities or programs as needed to support business users accessing Unix SAS environment from Windows desktops and applications
- Provide support for monthly Microsoft Patching
- Assist with the design and optimization of infrastructure systems (server, I/O, memory) for SAS, and other large resource consuming systems
- Participate in Tier II Windows Support
- Primary technical vendor management for SAS Institute Inc. and 3rd party vendors closely related to our SAS environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or other technical related field and 3 to 5 years of related SAS experience; or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- Proven knowledge and ability in SAS v9.1.3 in a UNIX/Windows environment
- SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with UNIX/Windows Operating Systems and interoperability functions
