PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Analytics Lead is the primary driver of solutions to support business initiatives through the use of advanced analytics. The Analytics Lead is responsible for working with business partners to define the opportunity and for partnering with global team members to design the analytic approach and to develop a readily-adoptable solution to meet the needs of business partners. The Analytics Lead must coordinate the creation of a plan to manage the work effort of his/her project, measure the impact of the project, and communicate progress to all levels of management. Communication of analytic results in a way that is understandable to the business and can be implemented is a key function of the Lead. The Analytics Lead works with a group of internal Target partners and at times external consultants to ensure the outcome of their work delivers the best possible results for Target.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively identify, prioritize, and communicate the presenting business opportunity to ensure the maximum business value is achieved.
- Facilitate the identification of opportunities and the process of defining requirements for solutions.
- Ensure ongoing knowledge management by documenting business rules, definitions and assumptions.
- Provide direction and act as liaison with Target India Reporting & Analytics teams (provide requirements and validate/interpret results).
- Ensure security and quality standards are met.
- Build strong partnerships with key Finance leaders to define and implement the best business intelligence solutions for their teams.
- Provide business direction and act as liaison between TTS Development team and end users.
- Maintain partnerships and visibility with Finance partners in all headquarters locations (TNC, CC, TPN/TPS/TP3).
- Create, market, and execute a communication plan to ensure a high level of organizational adoption for each project.
- Develop processes and techniques to enable repeatable and scalable business solutions.
- Manage and execute the testing process to ensure the accuracy and usability of the proposed solution.
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Manager BI Services
- Works with all areas of the organization including Finance, other business pyramids, TTS, Target India. Will also work with contractors, vendors and/or consultants.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in Mathematics or Statistics
- Minimum 6-8 years business experience.
- Minimum 3-4 years SAS experience
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to tailor presentation and style to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to negotiate consensus effectively.
